Teresa Conradie


Teresa Conradie is the Managing Director of Motla Conradie Inc. She is a qualified Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. In 1985 she read for the degrees B.Iuris and LL.B at the University of Pretoria.

In 1987 she joined Webbers Attorneys in Bloemfontein as a candidate attorney and later as professional assistant where she received extensive training in all aspects of property law. In 1991 she started her own practice in Witbank. During this time she was a part-time lecturer of Commercial Law at the University of Pretoria.

Teresa joined Van Zyl Le Roux & Hurter Inc in Pretoria as a professional in 1993. She managed the branch office of the firm in Moreleta Park for three years and at the end of 1996 founded the firm Teresa Conradie Attorneys.

In November 1999 she represented South Africa at the Convocation of Advocates International in San Antonio; she was invited to attend this prestigious meeting again in November 2000 and again in October 2004 in Washington DC, where she was awarded with the Good Samaritan Award in recognition of her service to the Global Network of Christian Lawyers. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Christian Lawyers Association of South Africa and the President of Advocates Africa.

Teresa serves on the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces as well as the Disciplinary Committee of the Dental Technicians Council. She has also been a lecturer of the Senior Conveyancing Typists Course of the Pretoria Association of Attorneys. She is currently the moderator of the Notarial examinations of the Law Societies of South Africa.

During 2004, 2005 and 2007 Teresa served as an Acting Judge in the Transvaal Provincial Division of the High Court of South Africa.
